Two steps up from the dining area, the Lounge comprises the upper part of the old drying kilns. The vaulted frame which used to form 2 outlets for the hot air to escape, is now a magnificent double divided high ceiling; the lounge has a three piece suite with 4-seater corner sofa, wood-burning stove, 32 inch HD Ready LCD flat screen TV with integral Freeview and radio, DVD player and Ipod docking station.
Following a recent partial refurbishment of the cottage, the entrance was relocated to the ground floor underneath the old stone steps, Kiln Cottage is to the left of the building. The original entrance was up these steps, but as they have become rather worn over time, it was decided they would become an ornamental reminder of the past.
To the left of the converted drying house is Kiln Cottage which is accessed at ground level to the bedrooms, the right hand side of this beautifully converted character cottage is a second holiday home for two people
